Every year we join hundreds of Jeep enthusiasts in experiencing the red desert from Mesa Top to Canyon Bottom in our Jeeps on 40 different trails ranging in difficulty from 2 to 9.
The Jeep Safari started in 1967 when the Moab Chamber of Commerce decided the jeeping community would be welcomed to rally on the Behind the Rocks Trail. The following year they added the Moab Rim trail, and participants were mostly Chamber members--just friends in the community enjoying jeeps on red rock. Now lots and lots and lots of people show up for the Jeep Safari, and you can join up, too! In fact, you're invited to the next one!
The safari lasts nine days, and participants provide their own four-wheel vehicle, food and fuel. All trails in this nine-day event are guided by experienced, friendly trail officials, so you don't have anything to worry about.
This massive week-long event is one of the largest events of the year for Moab so check out our pictures and videos of last year's--and the previous year's Safaris, get excited, and prep your Jeep for the next Jeep Safari!
