Easter Jeep Safari 2018—A Jeep Enthusiast’s Playground

We’re less than a month away from Easter Jeep Safari 2018 and we absolutely cannot contain our excitement any longer. We live for modified Jeeps crushing trails and letting loose on the beautiful red rocks of southern Utah, and this year is shaping up to be one for the ages. If you’ve never attended an Easter Jeep Safari before it’s safe to say you haven’t lived yet. Grab your crawler and your best buddies—we’re in for a wild ride this year. The Event

Every year off-road enthusiasts flock to Moab, Utah for a week of trail rides—mostly day-long trips—hosted by Red Rock 4-Wheelers, a local club. Participants bring their own vehicles and provide their own food and beverage for the weekend—non-alcoholic, of course. Red Rock 4-Wheelers predetermines the routes and gives you the guidance to conquer them. 

Trails

Each day there are about nine trails to run, except for “Big Saturday,” which is a spectacle to behold. On this day, about 30 groups congregate in downtown Moab to form a caravan of Jeeps that eventually split off and conquer 30 different trails. It’s truly unlike anything else. 

Difficulty

Each trail is different and can be accessed by different vehicles and skill levels. There are a wide variety of trails, some of which can be easily accessed by any four-wheel drive vehicle. Others, however, require highly modified rides specifically designed to conquer the roughest and toughest terrain you can imagine. 

Safety 

Safety is extremely important during the event and a few reminders should be highlighted:

• All vehicles must have an integral metal top or roll bar. 

• All vehicles must be street legal in their registered state. 

• All vehicles must have seat belts.
